Peterborough winger George Boyd has revealed he would jump at the chance to play for Scotland.
The 23-year-old Chatham-born player is believed to be the mystery man George Burley wants to add to his squad for Wednesday night's B international against Northern Ireland. The Scottish Football Association were on Thursday hoping to confirm Boyd's eligibility via his Glasgow-born grandfather.
Boyd said in the Scottish Sun: "I'd jump at the chance of playing international football. Obviously, England is not very realistic for me. So yes, I'd be more than happy to join up with the Scotland squad."
He added: "I still haven't heard anything official. But I'd be happy to play for Scotland."
