Bradford captain Simon Ramsden looks set to miss the remainder of the season through injury.

The defender has suffered numerous problems this season and the latest setback, which occurred during a training session, could put an end to his campaign.

Ramsden will see a specialist on Friday to assess the nature of his latest injury.

Boss Peter Jackson had some words of comfort for Ramsden, who had been hoping to return to first-team action this season.

"He is a truly marvellous pro and he has done all the right things to try and get him back out there," he told the club's official website.

The 29-year-old has already had surgery to correct calf and hip problems.
