Northern Ireland manager Lawrie Sanchez has signed a two-and-a-half-year extension to his contract on the eve of the World Cup qualifier against England at Old Trafford.Sanchez´s current deal was due to expire after this qualifying campaign but the Irish Football Association have confirmed the 45-year-old former Wycombe boss will now lead the national team in their bid to reach the 2008 European Championships as well.IFA president Jim Boyce said: "The IFA are fortunate to have secured Lawrie´s services for a longer period. He has done well with the team, seeing us move 13 places up in the FIFA world ranking. The supporters love him and the team want to play for him."
