Simon Yeo is hoping it will not be third time lucky but FIFTH time lucky for promotion via the play offs. The Lincoln player has been in four play-offs so far but has yet to win one - but he is confident this season. Givemefootball’s Lawrie Madden caught up with him ahead of tomorrow's first leg clash at home to Grimsby.

Q:HAVE THE TEAM'S PREPARATIONS BEEN ANY DIFFERENT THIS WEEK?

A:No, it has been a normal week and we have prepared normally but you know on Saturday it is going to be a bit different with big crowds and play-off final at stake.

Q:AND A LOCAL DERBY TO BOOT?

A:Two full houses guaranteed, so it will be exciting and being a derby plenty of passion and local bragging rights as well. Being at home or away won't make any difference because it is a derby with plenty of support.

Q:YOU MUST BE FEELING IT'S ABOUT TIME YOUR LUCK CHANGED IN THE PLAY-OFFS?

A:It has been heartbreaking to lose so many times because it stays with you and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. It is a horrible feeling and it is even worse if you lose at Cardiff rather than the semi stage.

Q:YOU'VE HAD TWO INTERESTING CLASHES WITH GRIMSBY THIS SEASON, TO SAY THE LEAST?

A:Yes, they were two freak results. They beat us 3-0 and then we beat them 5-0 so not much to go on but I think it will be very tight with just the odd goal in it this time.

Q:YOU'VE BEEN LABELLED A 'DIRECT' TEAM - HARSH OR FAIR?

A:We have been labelled direct and I think that is a bit unfair especially as there are other teams who are more direct. But for four years in a row we have got to the play-offs so it has done us no harm.

Q:WILL YOUR PREVIOUS PLAY-OFF EXPERIENCE HAVE A BEARING?

A:I think we will be more relaxed because we have been here before and know what to expect. We don't want to lose after our experiences so it is about giving everything for the club.

Q:DID YOU EXPECT TO REACH THE PLAY-OFFS AGAIN?

A:At the start of the season there was a lot of changes in personnel. A lot of new lads came to the club and have done well. We would have taken this at the start of the season, that's for sure.
