Potential Darlington investor Raj Singh has threatened to withdraw his offer for the club if it is not accepted by Monday.

On Tuesday, administrators of the club extended the deadline for offers to May 5 with reports circulating that others are considering a bid. But Singh's three-man consortium are the only group to have made a firm offer so far.

"We have the final home game of the season on Saturday and as soon as that game is over, we need an answer," Singh told The Journal. "We have made a very fair offer and we need to know by Monday - after that, the offer will come off the table."

And Singh - who wants the stadium and land surrounding it to be included in the deal - fears his interest is being used to 'smoke out' other potential buyers.

He added: "I know this deadline has been put forward but the administrators have had enough time to attract a serious bidder. If they don't want to do a deal with us, then fine, they can find somebody else but I don't think they are going to get anyone else, to be perfectly honest."
