Chesterfield have arranged a press conference for 12 noon on Tuesday June 9 to unveil their new manager.
New majority shareholder Dave Allen, who has invested around £6million into the League Two club, is thought to have a short-list of three candidates which includes Newcastle coach Colin Calderwood.
The Spireites have been without a boss since Lee Richardson departed at the end of the season after the club failed to reach the play-offs.
