Port Vale have allowed striker Steve Thompson to join Stafford Rangers on a month-long loan deal.
Thompson, 20, scored twice for Vale last season but has yet to break into Micky Adams` side this time around and will get some much-needed first-team action with the Blue Square North side.
Midfielder Ross Davidson, who joined Stafford on loan in the summer, has extended his stay and will join Thompson in the side until the game with Hinckley on October 3.
