Peter Taylor has pledged his future to Wycombe amid speculation he was set to resign.

The 56-year-old was reported to be unhappy about the uncertainty surrounding the future ownership of the newly-promoted League One club, but after talks with managing director Steve Hayes the matter appears to have been resolved.

Taylor told the Bucks Free Press: "I'm happy to say that we are getting on with it."

He added: "I think it is a sensible budget for Wycombe. Everyone would say that they want more but to me it is acceptable. For me it gives us a chance. It is not ideal but we will have to get on with it."

Taylor feels that transfer targets have been lost and that he might have been able to keep captain Dave McCracken if budgets had been sorted out earlier.

He added: "If I had been in a position to bring in the people I was trying to, I believe we could have kept him (McCracken). I have been frustrated that all my efforts of getting these people lined up have been a waste of time."
