Gillingham striker Simeon Jackson ended a superb month on a high with a goal on his international debut for Canada on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old, who scored the goal which won the play-off final for the Gills against Shrewsbury last weekend, fired in the only goal as his country beat Cyprus 1-0 on Saturday night.
Jamaica-born Jackson was winning his first cap for his country, having been named in the senior squad for the first time earlier this season.
Speculation will be rife over the future of the former Rushden man this summer after his 21 goals for the Gills this season, but chairman Paul Scally - still revelling in the diminutive frontman's fine last-minute header at Wembley - is keen to keep him at the club.
"He's priceless," he said. "He can pop up and get that goal, he's always looking. He didn't have a lot of chances (against Shrewsbury) but he only needs one.
"If he does that every game then the manager will be happy."
