Darlington manager Colin Todd blasted his side's performance as "unacceptable" after seeing them crash to a fifth defeat in their first six league matches at Lincoln.

Two goals from Lincoln striker Rene Howe and a second goal of the season from Chris Fagan ensured a comfortable 3-0 win for the managerless Imps and Todd was furious with his players.

He said: "It was just a performance we cannot accept. I've got to make sure the side I send out battles better than they did."

He added: "We have got to get more out of the people out there.

"Not one of the players came out of the game with any credit. It was there for anybody to see. I don't tell lies."
