Bournemouth's director of operations feels the club is not far from lifting its transfer embargo.
Neill Blake is part of the Murry Group that have assumed control of the League Two club and they have held a number of talks with the Football League with a view to being able to sign players again.
"Jeff (Mostyn) is in constant dialogue with them," Blake told the Bournemouth Echo. "We're working towards it. Personally I'd like to think it's not too far in the future."
He added: "We're trying to please them (the Football League), which the club has failed to do in the past 12 months, and I'm trying to make up for those 12 months now.
"The things they require, we're doing each day."
The embargo is preventing manager Eddie Howe from signing any players, including Jamie Vincent and Steve Lovell, who have both been training with the Cherries.
