Port Vale manager Dean Glover has swooped to sign Carlisle striker Kevin Gall on an initial one-month loan deal.

The 27-year-old has fallen out of favour at Brunton Park this season and Glover is hoping he can help improve Vale`s form.

He told the club`s official website: "Kevin can play in a three-man attack or off a target man and I've brought him because he has pace. It's been frustrating for him at Carlisle, but he was at Lincoln when we played them up there."

He added: "After our defeat against Lincoln on Friday night I felt we had to make phone calls, and late on Monday night we were told we could take him. Hopefully he'll do well for us."

Gall added: "I'm looking forward to being involved again. It's been a bit frustrating this season and I'm looking forward to getting games again. People say I'm very quick and I hope to give an extra dimension to the Port Vale team."
