Torquay striker Chris Zebroski is set to see his loan deal from Wycombe become permanent in the new year.

The 23-year-old has been at Plainmoor since the middle of November and is in a rich vein of form with four goals in his last three appearances for Paul Buckle's free-scoring Gulls.

United chief executive Colin Lee said: "The figure for Chris' transfer remains confidential and is between ourselves and Wycombe but I can confirm that a deal to make the transfer permanent has already been agreed between the two clubs.

"We wanted to be sure to have something in place so that he became a Torquay player once the loan deal was over - and that's what we have done."
