Zesh Rehman has joined the chorus of Bradford fans who are singing the praises of manager Stuart McCall and urging the Bantams’ boss to stay and finish what he started.
McCall has threatened to quit the club after missing out on the play-offs and had a meeting with joint-chairmen Mark Lawn and Julian Rhodes on Tuesday.
"We spent around three-and-a-half hours with Stuart, discussing the budget and how it will work," Lawn told the Yorkshire Post.
"There are a few hard decisions to be made and Stuart wants to go away to think about them. With the budget we have set, there will have to be quite a bit of player movement.
"The plan now is for him to come back to us on Thursday and then pass that decision on to the press at his weekly press conference later in the day."
Zesh, one of the few Asian footballers to make his mark at the top level, hopes the answer from McCall is in the affirmative.
“I know he’s disappointed we didn’t make the play-offs, we all are, but he is Mr Bradford and I think it’s important that he stays,” says loanee Zesh.
“He has been great to me and everyone here loves him. I hope he stays on and I hope I can make my loan move permanent too. I love it at this club.”
