PFA Education - What happens when you hang up your boots

So what happens when you hang up your boots?

 


PFA Education provides advice and guidance for the provision of educational and vocational courses, in preparation for a second career, for all registered and ex-registered Football League and FA Premier League players and members of the PFA.

What do we offer?

Advice, and finance in the form of grants.



Grants

The level of grants for the majority of courses is 50% up to a maximum of £1500 in any one year. All grants are subject to PFA Education receiving and confirming:

PFA Education - Grants
• A fully completed application form;
• Confirmation of PFA membership;
• Appropriate receipts as proof of payment for the course;
• Evidence of achievement/completion of the course, such as a certificate or letter from the College/University or awarding body;
• If unemployed, evidence of unemployment. All grants are discretionary and criteria and levels of funding do change from time to time.

Courses

Grant aid from PFA Education is available for a variety of courses. Examples of some of these courses and types of training are:


FA Coaching and Medical courses;

PFA Education  Courses














• External first degree courses in Physiotherapy, Sports Science and Business;
• Open University undergraduate courses;
• HGV, PSV Driving Instructor and other driving courses;
• Trade/construction courses (Electrician, Plumbing, Bricklaying, Joinery);
• Higher and Ordinary National Certificates in various subjects;
• Hospitality and Catering;
• AS/A2 and GCSE courses;
• Leisure Management courses, HNC and degree;
• Teaching qualifications.

REMEMBER: FOOTBALL IS A SHORT CAREER AND YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO EARN YOUR LIVING IN ANOTHER INDUSTRY, SO IT MAKES SENSE TO PREPARE NOW.
