Members of the Poacher's Family Club went on an exclusive visit to Lincoln City’s training ground recently.

Around 40 members, along with their parents, were taken on a tour of the training ground by former Lincoln City player and current acting kitman Matt Carmichael.

After this the children watched the Imps training and even set up their own mini-match at the side of the training pitch.

Once the players had finished their training session the kids had the chance to meet their heroes and get their shirts and autograph books signed. Some children even got to sit in on the pre-match press conference as the local press quizzed manager Peter Jackson on their forthcoming games.

As the hype around the players started to die down, Lincoln’s mascot, Poacher, turned up and whipped the kids into a mad frenzy!

Peter Jackson and Iffy Onuora then took the children for a coaching session to give them a taste of what it is like to train as a professional footballer. Poacher, of course, joined in with this session and was tackled to the ground by Iffy, leaving poor old Poacher covered in mud!

The children really enjoyed their visit and the parents were full of praise for manager Peter Jackson and his team.
