Mark Group has full time job oppportunities for retired or semi-professional athletes.  No qualifications or previous experience required.  Comprehensive training provided, opportunities across the UK.  Salary £20,000 - £30,000 + vehicle.

Mark Group is one Britain’s fastest growing companies. Established in 1974, the business now has annual sales of £100m and is planning to double in size over the next 18 months.

The business is dedicated to providing energy efficiency solutions for homes and businesses. Today, the company insulates more than 5,000 homes per week from its 14 Regional Centres around the UK. In addition to its traditional insulation business, the Group is also at the forefront of product development for the use of renewable energy technology such as Solar Power, Heat Pumps and Wind Turbines.

The Opportunities

Opportunities exist at each Regional Centre for sportspeople to join the Company and train to become Insulation Installers – initially specialising either in Loft Insulation and Draught-Proofing or in Cavity Wall Insulation. Mark Group will provide full training to everybody who joins the business in these positions, so that new recruits will be capable of performing at a semi-skilled level within 4-6 weeks of starting employment.

Following completion of the training programme, the Installers will go straight into the field operations, on a supported basis, with responsibility for delivering high quality service and solutions to the Company’s rapidly growing customer base.

Success in these initial roles will be measured against the quantity and quality of work delivered and there will be opportunities for successful Fitters to progress their career through the Service Delivery Management structure.

There is no requirement for applicants to have any specific formal qualification. The Company wishes to recruit self-motivated individuals who have the desire to succeed at whatever they do. Key to success will be a focussed approach to delivering the highest standard of results, together with a responsible attitude to safety (working up ladders is a fundamental part of the job) and a friendly and helpful manner when dealing with customers and the general public.

To Apply for the Position

In the next few weeks, Mark Group will be holding “Open Days” at a variety of their Regional Centres, where they will give a thorough introduction to the Group and these opportunities. They will also carry out interviews with a view to hiring people on the day. If you would be interested in coming along to find out more, please email - attaching a copy of your current CV to:
