Play football...watch football - and raise money for the DSA at the same time

The Down's Syndrome Association is holding a six-a-side football event on Saturday, June 10 at West Ham United's Upton Park - and the DSA is looking for 32 teams to take part in this worthwhile event. As well as staging the football knock-out challenge, organisers will also be showing England's first World Cup match on the big screens (a priority!) followed by a party in the evening with celebrity speakers, auction and prize ceremony. OK! Magazine who will be featuring a pre-publicity article, headed by DSA patron Kevin Kilbane, and the magazine will also be featuring pictures from the event a couple of weeks later. Also on the bill is the full cast from Sky One's Dream Team who will play on the day and stay for the evening event. In the space of two weeks 14 teams entered - but the organisers are still looking for more. Teams taking part in the Danny Mardell Knock-Out Challenge will have exclusive use of the full size pitch, Premiership changing facilities - and the chance to see England’s first World Cup match on the big screens. There will also be trophies awarded to the winners… and the losers. There are luxurious bedrooms available, overlooking the pitch, and they can be booked at a separate cost of £60 per room.
