Ali Al Habsi is a big strong goalkeeper for Bolton Wanderers.
Signed from Lyn Oslo in the January 2006 transfer window, he enjoyed a useful spell covering for the injured Jussi Jaaskelainen during the 2007-08 season, but since then he has been restricted to a place on the bench and outings for the reserve team.
Ali is captain of the Oman national team and was a member of the side that defeated Saudi Arabia to win the Gulf Cup in January 2009, completing a clean sheet in each of his side’s fixtures with the exception of the penalty shoot-out that decided the destination of the trophy.
