Ben Alnwick joined Tottenham Hotspur from Sunderland in January 2007 as an understudy goalkeeper and for his potential to become a first-team player.
Ben has yet to make his Premier League debut for the club, although he has played in two cup games, both in January 2009. One of those was the FA Cup fourth round at Old Trafford, when he made one particularly significant save and gave a good all-round performance.
Ben has had several loan spells since being signed but, at the time of writing, he remains as second choice to Heurelho Gomes. Ben is not particularly tall for a 'keeper, but he has quick reactions and good shot-stopping abilities.
