Brett Emerton is a wide-right midfield player who signed for Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2003.
A product of the Australian Institute of Sport, He went on to play for Sydney Olympic and Feyenoord before arriving at Ewood Park. Brett has been a key figure for Rovers since joining the club and has now made close on 200 Premiership appearances for the club.
A versatile player who can play as an overlapping full back on the wing or in a central midfield role, Brett is tall and powerful and possesses a good engine. A regular in the Blackburn line-up for most of his time with the club, he had a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury in January 2009, however, he returned to first-team action in September.
Brett made his full international debut shortly before his 19th birthday and now has over 70 caps for Australia.
