Curtis Davies is an Aston Villa defender. He started his career with Luton Town and also played for West Bromwich Albion before signing for Villa in August 2007, originally on loan but then permanently.
After a hesitant start he became a reliable central defender, capable of also scoring vital goals such as the one he netted in Villa’s 3-0 win at Anfield earlier this season. He was a regular in the first team last term but is currently battling back to full fitness after a lengthy lay-off through injury.
Curtis, whose great assets include his positional awareness and tackling ability, will be aiming to fight his way back into first team contention soon and add to his tally of more than 180 senior games. He has made three appearances for the England U21 team and has been called into the senior squad on several occasions but has yet to win his first full cap.
