Ledley King is the club captain of Tottenham Hotspur having risen through their Academy ranks, remaining loyal to his team since his senior debut back in May 1999.
Unfortunately, Ledley has been beset by an ongoing knee injury that has hampered his ability to train fully, and has restricted his appearances in recent seasons.
Ledley is a cultured defender, who rarely finds himself in disciplinary trouble and has been a great servant to the club. Ledley reads the game well, still has pace, and has at times played in the central midfield, but it is as club captain and central defender that he wins the undying admiration of the club's fans.
He has made over 200 Premiership appearances for Spurs to date and was very proud to lead his team to victory in the 2008 Carling Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley.
Ledley has 19 full caps for England (January 2010), although his most recent international appearance was in the summer of 2007.
