Maik Taylor is a goalkeeper who joined Birmingham City from Fulham in 2003.
Initially on loan at St Andrew’s, he quickly established himself as the club’s first-choice ‘keeper and remained so over the next six seasons.
However, the arrival of Joe Hart has seen him lose his place in the side and this season he has been restricted to a place on the bench for Premiership matches, with a couple of outings in the Carling Cup ties.
A steady ‘keeper who is a great shot-stopper, he remains number one for Northern Ireland and recently won his 80th cap in the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.
