Michael is an experienced midfield player for Coventry City who joined Leeds United in a season-long loan arrangement in the summer of 2009. A combative central midfielder who is effective in the tackle and an inspiration to his colleagues, Michael has already become an important figure for the Elland Road side as they bid to gain promotion back to the Championship. Michael has made over 250 appearances for the Sky Blues since joining them from Celtic back in 2003 and has also represented the Republic of Ireland at international level.
