Richard Eckersley is a young defender who signed for Burnley in the summer of 2009.
A speedy right back who shows great tenacity when defending and is effective when pushing forward, Richard has featured for the reserves and in the club’s two Carling Cup ties since arriving at Turf Moor.
Last term he was a regular for Manchester United’s second string, making his senior debut when he came off the bench in the fourth round FA Cup tie against Tottenham.
