Robbie Keane made a surprise return to Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the transfer window early in 2009.
Whilst he has not consistently hit the high levels of his first spell at Tottenham, Robbie was a great influence in Spurs' successful run-in at the end of the 2008-09 season and has scored nine goals so far this season, included four in the 5-0 win over Burnley in September.
However, there is much more to Robbie's game than scoring. In the absence of Ledley King, Robbie is the team captain, and his qualities of leadership at club and international level are highly influential. Robbie will battle away for his team up and down the pitch, and has been known to be the last line in defence on occasions.
Robbie is also a regular for the Republic of Ireland and to date has been capped 96 times, scoring 42 goals (January 2010).
