Sam Wood quickly established himself on the left side of the Brentford midfield after joining the Bees from Bromley in the summer of 2008.
Sam, who was brought in as a left back but has proved more effective when playing further forward, had an outstanding first season in League football.
He was a near ever-present for the Bees and impressed so much he was voted Player of the Season by the fans on the way to helping the club clinch the League Two title. Sam is a tenacious player with a good engine.
