Steven Caldwell is a central defender on the books of Burnley. Signed by the Clarets in January 2007, Steven was an influential figure in last season’s successful side, captaining the team to promotion via the play-offs.
His form won him a recall to the Scotland international squad for the first time in three years and he gained his 10th cap against Norway in August, only to suffer an injury that kept him out of the opening fixtures of the new campaign.
He returned to the line-up at the beginning of October and has since re-established himself as a first choice. Steven is a tall, committed centre back who leads by example and is a dominant figure in the air.
