Bolton boss Sam Allardyce, who did not waste any time defending himself in the aftermath of the Panorama ´bungs´ accusations, was quick to hit back at attacks on his team´s style and physical approach to the game after they overpowered Liverpool 2-0.In the build-up to the game Reds boss Rafael Benitez had complained about Wanderers´ long-ball system and their ability to stretch the laws of the game to the limits. But that only succeeded in winding Bolton up as Allardyce revealed: "The players were a bit annoyed by the things that had been said about us from the Liverpool end. They were talking about it before the game and we pinned up on the wall the articles being critical of us."
