Media reports have suggested that Arsenal are chasing Barcelona star Gai Assulin.

The Gunners have already raided Barcelona’s youth team for Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida in the past but are not ready to stop yet.

The attacking midfielder, who previously turned down a move to rivals Chelsea, has stalled in signing a new deal at the Nou Camp.

Wenger, who has had scouts carefully watch the player, now believes Assulin can follow in the footsteps Cesc Fabregas and become an Arsenal superstar.

However, the Gunners manager will face a tough test if he wants to sign the Barcelona whizz-kid with boss Guardiola being far more protective of his youth team than previous coaches at the club.

The 18-year-old Israel international made his first-team debut against Cultural in the Copa del Rey at the end of last month.
