Arsenal legend Robert Pires still remains hopeful he can extend his playing career following his release by Aston Villa in the summer.
The French veteran has attracted informal interest from Qatar and Russia, but is awaiting an official approach before he can confirm his return to the game.
However, says the 37-year-old midfielder, he is ready to hang up his boots if the right offer is not received.
"I had interest from the English second division," said Pires, according to The Sun.
"I'm waiting to see if those from Qatar or Russia materialise, and if there is nothing I feel ready to stop.
"I know that the new buzz phrase is that a player is 'burnt out' but I know I'm not."
Pires won seven honours during six years with Arsenal after Arsene Wenger brought him to north London from Marseille in 2000.
A World Cup winner with France in 1998, Pires was a member of the Arsenal 'invincibles' that went an entire season unbeaten on their way to the title.
He left Arsenal for Villarreall in 2006 and, two years later, was voted by Gunners supporters as the fourth best Arsenal player of all time.
