Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Stuttgart to sign 15-year-old midfielder Serge Gnabry after he impressed on trial.

After joining the Gunners on a week’s trial, he did so well the club extended the deal for a further three days so youth coach Liam Brady could check him out in pre-season friendlies for the under-18 team.

And the club will want to put a deal in place quickly in order to allow him to make the move on his 16th birthday for a nominal fee.



The German, who can also represent the Ivory Coast was sensational against Birmingham City, grabbing a goal and assists, and the North London side have moved quickly to beat any other potential suitors.

Gnabry scored 30 goals from an advanced midfield position last season and will continue Arsene Wenger’s policy of bringing the best talent from the continent to the Emirates Stadium.

The likes of Cesc Fabregas, and Carlos Vela have done similar and impressed at every level before making the step up to the senior team.
