Arsenal star Fran Merida has agreed a new deal at the club but has still to sign it, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has revealed. Wenger has be keen to tie up a deal with the youngster with Atletico Madrid being reported to be interested in bringing him back to Spain.Merida, who scored a brilliant goal against Liverpool in the Carling Cup last week, has a contract that is set to expire next summer. Wenger has admitted that other clubs have been doing their best to try and unsettle Merida as the player closes in on signing a new deal.
