Joey Barton missed a glorious chance to snatch victory in a dismal game at the Reebok Stadium as Bolton and Manchester City were forced to settle for an uneventful goalless draw.Barton somehow poked into the side-netting from point-blank range in the 69th minute after Darius Vassell´s ball across the face of goal had eluded Bernardo Corradi.Bolton had marginally better of the possession without fashioning many clear-cut chances. Nicolas Anelka had their best opportunity in the second half when he drilled a low shot straight at Nicky Weaver.
