Julio Arca ended Middlesbrough´s slide down the Barclays Premiership table with a fine second-half strike to help sink struggling Charlton 2-0 at the Riverside Stadium.The Argentinian midfielder let fly with a low left-footed shot in the 52nd minute which squirmed under Scott Carson and added to Aiyegbeni Yakubu´s 29th-minute opener.The Addicks seldom threatened, although Talal El Karkouri and Djimi Traore both shot wide in the first half and Bryan Hughes saw his 85th-minute effort cleared off the line by Emanuel Pogatetz.
