Chelsea and Manchester City are set to go head-to-head for the signature of Luis Fabiano after the striker refused to rule out a move to the Premier League.

Seville could be prepared to cash in on the striker after the World Cup with his contract set to expire at the end of next season.

While Carlo Ancelotti wants to add another striker to his ranks, City boss Roberto Mancini wants to start a summer spree by attempting to sign the Sevilla striker.

It is thought that Mancini will use some of the money from the sale of Robinho, currently on loan at Santos, to fund the purchase of Fabiano.

The 29-year-old said: "I have a year left on my contract and am happy at Seville. But things can change very quickly.

"I do not want to speak about my future at the moment because we are just thinking about the Champions League and the Spanish league where we still have a lot to play for."

Fabiano has made 36 appearances so far for Brazil scoring 25 goals.
