Sol Campbell is ready to make a decision on his future but looks unlikely to agree a new deal with Portsmouth.

The former England centre-half is out of contract at Fratton Park and is now eager to get a contract in place for next season.

"I'm out of contract and will listen to different offers. I want to make the right choice," Campbell told Sky Sports News.

"There are a few options out there. Portsmouth have to organise themselves and there's a lot happening there.

"At the moment at Portsmouth it seems a lot of things are happening in the background.

"It may resolve itself, I don't know, but as a player I want to be in the right environment, for at least the next two years, the right environment to be successful."

Reflecting on the kind of club he is looking spend to what is likely to be the final phase of his career, Campbell added: "You want a good chairman and a great manager - it doesn't matter if he is coming into the game or is vastly experienced. You want stability.

"I'm aware (of interest) and it's nice to know that. I'm sure people come back from their holidays and have a week or two and start to see what they've got and hopefully deals can start moving."
