Michael Carrick´s first goal for Tottenham condemned Sunderland to a ninth straight defeat as the Black Cats lost 3-2 at White Hart Lane.Sunderland had taken a shock lead with Dean Whitehead´s 25-yard free-kick before Mido equalised before the break.Robbie Keane put Spurs ahead and Anthony Le Tallec hit back for Sunderland before Keane then had a penalty superbly saved by keeper Ben Alnwick only for Carrick to slot home 13 minutes from time.
