David Villa has not closed the door on a transfer to the Premier League in the future.
The Valencia striker has continued to be linked with a move to England but the Spaniard has insisted he is leaving his options open.
Villa has continued to impress for both club and country, making him a top transfer target for Chelsea and Manchester United, if he becomes available. However, Valencia may be forced to cash in on their prize assest in order to try and solve their continuing financial problems.
The 27-year-old was a major contributor to Spain’s success in Euro 2008, scoring four goals in the four games, despite missing the final and the majority of the semi-final.
Discussing a move away from Valencia, David Villa said: “Honestly? There can be a thousand scenarios, I’m not saying that I am opening the doors to anywhere, but I’m not closing them.
“Neither Europe nor Africa, nor to America, nor Korea. I don’t shut the door to anywhere because I have a short career and I want to enjoy it.”
