France defender Philippe Christanval believes there is still a chance of him joining Arsenal.The former Monaco, Barcelona and Marseille stopper joined up with the English Premier League side on trial this summer, but manager Arsene Wenger recently declared that he would not be pursuing a permanent deal for the 27-year-old.But Christanval admits he is still hoping things will go through with the Gunners. "I am still waiting for an answer," he told L´Equipe. "I know that Arsene (Wenger) has confirmed on the club´s website that it would not happen but he has not yet phoned me to tell me."
