Djibril Cisse has joined Greek side Panathinaikos from Marseille for £6.8 million. The former Liverpool and Sunderland striker completed a season long loan with the Black Cats last term and originally thought he was staying with the club, but they never took up the option of signing him permanently.Despite his well documented injury problems, Cisse is still a fairly hot property in the world of football after his 11 goals in 38 games at the Stadium of Light.Panathinaikos are believed to have beaten some strong competition for his signature, and Cisse becomes the highest paid player at the club with earnings close to £2 million a year.Cisse said: "I am very enthusiastic from the welcome and I have not witnessed anything like it in my life."Powered by: GiveMeFootball.com, the latest football news
