Manchester City are closing in on a deal for Inter Milan's teenage sensation Mario Balotelli but, contrary to some reports, an agreement will not be confirmed today.
Corriere dello Sport and Gazzetta dello Sport are suggesting that the precocious 19-year-old is ready to put pen to paper after the two clubs thrashed out a deal thought to be worth in the region of £35 million.
However, Balotelli's agent has said that he does not expect the transfer to be concluded for a while yet.
"Today there will be no developments," Mino Raiola tuttomercatoweb.com.
"I don't think the situation will be solved this evening.
"The (transfer) figures? No comment."
Balotelli played under City boss Roberto Mancini during his time with the Nerazzurri and, despite the striker having a reputation for being volatile, Mancini is keen to bring him to Eastlands.
"I have no problems. The most important thing is that they are good, so that they go on the pitch and play well," he said.
"We are always interested in good players. If Inter decide to sell (Balotelli), we will be there."The Ghanian-born forward has also been linked with moves to Manchester United and Chelsea, but free-spending City are expected secure his signature in the coming weeks.
