Felipe Caicedo's eighth-minute effort was enough to let Manchester City end the season on a winning note against Bolton.

The Ecuador striker was presented with the easiest of tap-ins after Micah Richards had turned an improvised pass from Stephen Ireland into his path.

Surprisingly chosen after being ruled out by Mark Hughes on Friday, Shaun Wright-Phillips almost bowed out with a goal but despite going close on four occasions, could not find a way past Jussi Jaaskelainen.
