Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is eyeing up a move for Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli, according to the News of the World.

Manchester City will face tough competition for the young striker who has also been linked with Arsenal.

Balotelli has clashed with Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho in recent weeks and is thought to be seeking a move away from the club in the summer.

Talking about the 19-year-old striker, Roberto Mancini said: "I would bring Mario here because he is young and has great potential to be world class."

The Manchester City manager added: "He can resolve games and I never had any complaints about him."

However, Inter President Massimo Moratti would like to see him stay at the club as he is one of the few players from the clubs academy to break into the first team.

The striker has made 21 appearances for Inter Milan this season scoring six goals and has also three assists to his name.
