Manchester City are set to make a £12million bid in January for Bayern Munich defender Phillip Lahm.
According to reports this morning, City boss Mark Hughes has been keeping an eye on the left back after traveling to Germany to watch Lahm play last month.
Lahm is said to be unhappy at Bayern and is seeking a move away from the club in January.
Since his £12million move to the City of Manchester Stadium, Wayne Bridge has struggled to find his best form. Hughes now wants to bring in the German international to add more competition to his leaky defence.
Lahm has been a consistent performer for both club and country and is still rated as one of the best defenders in the game.
