Mark Hughes is lining up a £6million move for Rubin Kazan left-back Cristian Ansaldi, according to the News of the World.

Ansaldi is relatively unkown but has impressed during his Champions League campaign that included a shock win at Barcelona.

The Argentine left-back has attracted the attention of Manchester City boss Mark Hughes who is thought to be lining up a £6m move for the player in the next transfer window.

However, if Hughes is to land the 22 year-old he will have to beat competition from Real Madrid and Juventus who are also rumoured to be interested in the player.

City left back Wayne Bridge has so far struggled to find his best form for the club and his place in the side could be threatened if Hughes was to bring in Ansaldi in January.
