Ashley Cole has insisted that there was never any possibility of him leaving Chelsea. The England left back has signed a new four-year deal at Stamford Bridge, and the former Arsenal defender has confessed his delight at extending his stay in west London."I love being around people like JT and Lamps. They inspire you because they always want to fight and win games," said Cole in an interview with the Evening Standard.Cole was speculatively linked away from Chelsea over the summer, with Barcelona the most likely a club if the 28-year-old were to leave the Bridge. However, the defender has committed himself to Chelsea with the extension, and he was not shy in continuing his praise of John Terry and Frank Lampard."As a leader, JT is exactly what you want. I've had some great captains over the years, but I would say he's the best."On Lampard, Cole said: "Since I've been here, you see him at training and how he works hard every day. Young kids need to watch him and see what an inspiration he is."Powered by: GiveMeFootball.com, the latest football news
