Fulham boss Chris Coleman refused to blame referee Lee Mason for Aston Villa´s opener in the 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage - but felt his side should have been awarded a free-kick in the build-up.John Carew broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, seconds after Mason impeded Alexey Smertin allowing Gareth Barry to pick up the ball and play Carew in to finish past Antti Niemi. But Coleman felt play should have been stopped before Mason´s accidental block, with Barry and Smertin tangling on the halfway line."If he´s not in that position, Alexey or Michael Brown get to the ball first or at least it´s a 50-50 challenge but that doesn´t happen," said Coleman. "After that it´s a good ball through and a good finish."
