Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies made an unexpected return to action on Thursday morning for the first time since rupturing his Achilles tendon in March.Davies, 23, played in a friendly against Notts County behind closed doors at Bodymoor Heath, despite intial fears that he could be out until October after suffering the injury against Arsenal on March 1."I feel great," said Davies, who managed an hour against County and reported no ill-effects.
